Beyoncé’s family story has a lesser-known chapter involving her half-brother, Nixon Knowles, whose mother says he has never met the superstar.

Nixon was born after an affair between his father, Mathew Knowles, and Alexsandra Wright while Mathew was married to Tina Knowles.

According to Wright, Nixon has grown up knowing that he is connected to one of the world’s most recognizable families, yet has never had a relationship with Beyoncé or, she says, his father.

Wright has previously spoken about the emotional impact this has had on her son, saying he has questioned why Beyoncé doesn't love him.

But she has also made it clear that she doesn't blame Beyoncé and isn't seeking financial assistance from the singer.
