Ugwuanyi lauds Fr. Mbaka over 4,500 job creation

ENUGU – Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State has commended the Chairman and Spiritual Director of an indigenous company, Aqua Rapha Investment Nigeria Limited, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka for using his company to provide 4,500 jobs for the people of the state.

The governor made the commendation during a visit to the company at 9th Mile corner, Ngwo for the launch of her new products lines – Rapha Groundnut Oil, Rapha Soya Oil and Rapha Carbonated drinks.

Paris attacks: Hollande blames Islamic State for 'act of war'

The near-simultaneous attacks in Paris that killed at least 127 people were an "act of war" organised by the Islamic State militant group, says France's President Francois Hollande.

He said the attacks, carried out by eight gunmen and suicide bombers, were "organised and planned from outside".
The targets included bars, restaurants, a concert and a high-profile football match. More than 180 people were hurt.

Son Of Former Nigerian President Yakubu Gowon Released From U.S Prison After 22 Years

Gowon Jack Musa, a k a Jack Spencer, was arrested on November 18, 1992, for conspiring to import in excess of 1kg of heroin into the USA. Detectives found, in his room, a Swiss Air Global Hotel Guide on which Musa had written a reference to "The Heroin Connection."

They also found a television documentary on the recruitment of individuals in the Dallas area to smuggle heroin into the U.S. He had also written a phone number for Donald Iwegbu, an alleged co-conspirator who had admitted that the goal of the operation was to smuggle heroin into the U.S.
He was found guilty by a jury and was sentenced to 27 years in prison followed by 5 years of supervised release, but thanks to the new prison reform in the USA, he was among those granted pardon and released earlier this week.

Sinai plane crash: Victims flown back to Russia

The bodies of 144 of those killed in Saturday's air crash in Egypt have been flown back to the Russian city of St Petersburg as an investigation into the cause continues.
All 224 people on the Airbus 321 - most of them Russians - died when it came down over the northern Sinai peninsula.
