Everton moving in for Pogba and a Barcelona foward while Rolnaldo unsure what the future holds

The only thing to keep us vaguely interested in transfer gossip about Paul Pogba is the knowledge that someday, somehow, he will actually sign for someone. It almost certainly won’t be exciting enough to warrant the hours and weeks and years we’ve spent reading transfer gossip about him, but he will at least be very expensive.


The most exciting thing that could happen is that Pogba signs for a team we weren’t expecting, such as Everton, and the least interesting destination would be Barcelona because that’s where everyone expects him to go. But according to the Daily Express, Everton may be more likely.

"Pogba dismisses Barcelona move" is the headline that has apparently "offered renewed hope" to Chelsea and Manchester City. And although Everton aren’t specifically mentioned, it does automatically increase their chances of landing the Frenchman too, if they manage to rustle up the cash, which incidentally would be "no less than £71m", according to Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola.

In fact, Raiola is the only one speaking in this story, so the "Pogba dismisses Barcelona move" headline was slightly misleading, even more so because the agent doesn’t even mention Barcelona. "We don’t have a pre-agreement with anyone," is essentially all he says, which is not that encouraging for Everton really.

Alexandre Pato’s agent seems to be earning his corn at the moment, because the Brazilian forward is being linked with a different European club every day. Today it’s the turn of Manchester United and West Ham, reports Talksport.

Manchester City are lining up an £8m bid for Atletico Madrid’s 20-year-old Argentina striker Angel Correa, says the Daily Mirror, although it doesn’t seem that confident about its own transfer rumour because it’s been buried right at the bottom of a really long article about Wilfried Bony.
