Super Eagles legend backs Alex Iwobi to be world best

– Super Eagles legend Sunday Oliseh believes Alex Iwobi can be the world’s best  
– Iwobi was given his international debut by former Eagles coach oliseh in October 2015  
– The last Nigerian to win the African footballer of the Year is Nwankwo Kanu in 1999


Iwobi, 20, has played a fair amount of games for Arsenal after breaking through in 2015/16 season and Oliseh, capped 54 times by the Super Eagles Iwobi can become the best in the world.

Iwobi could follow in the footsteps of the likes of Didier Drogba, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Samuel Eto’o and Yaya Toure as winners of the African Player of the Year award. The last Nigerian to win the African Footballer of the Year award is Nwankwo Kanu whose win came in 1999. Iwobi’s Arsenal now sit third in the league, two points off of Manchester City at the top.
