It’s goodbye to subsidy as FG clears N48bn outstanding debt

The federal government has paid N48.2 billion outstanding subsidy arrears to oil marketers.
Kemi Adeosun, minister of finance, disclosed this on Tuesday.
Adeosun said the payment was made to enable the oil marketers import petroleum products and meet up their other financial needs.

Forgery: FG to arraign Saraki, Ekweremadu Tuesday

The Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, is scheduled to appear on Tuesday before a High Court of the Federal Capital Territory in Jabi, Abuja for arraignment on charges of forgery.

colonel, Charles Nengite, has won prestigious awards at the US War College, the
News Agency of Nigeria reports. According to information posted on the
college’s website on Monday, June 13, the Nigerian beat 380 other
postgraduate students to the top position at the institution over the weekend
in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, in a record that spans 38 years by any
foreigner in the college.
OJB Jezreel is dead
Nigerian producer OJB Jezreel has passed on. According to multiple reports he died a couple of hours ago after his kidney failed last week. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family in this trying time. Two years ago OJB had a successful transplant in India after his first wife Mabel donated a kidney to him.
