ILORIN, KWARA: On Sunday, June 7, 2026, Eiye (ACN) cultists k**led a man named Idris in an Aye (NBM) dominated area in Irewolede, Ilorin, Kwara State. Idris was reportedly shot 5 times before the Eiye attackers strvck him on the he@d, ensuring he was de@d before they left. 

While Eiye cultists claimed Idris was an Aye member, Aye cultists denied this, stating that Idris was not their member. Residents we spoke to described Idris as a young man who may have been k**led due to mistaken identity..

Idris was a barber, and it was reported that a woman who sells close to his shop has a husband who is a well-known Aye cultist in the area. 

According to sources on the ground, Idris resembled the woman’s husband, and both of them wore the same purple shirt that day. It was reported that Idris was at a shop waiting for his order when the attackers arrived. He had reportedly finished work for the day and was waiting for his order before closing his shop and heading home. He was attacked and k**led before he could leave.

At this time, NC will not label Idris a cultist unless there is evidence proving otherwise. “It is better to label a cultist an innocent man than to label an innocent man a cultist when you are not sure.” If any evidence emerges proving that Idris was a cultist, we will update the NC House accordingly.

Idris was reportedly buri£d on Monday after his body was released by the police. Idris was not just a barber. He was described as a focused young man who was very intelligent and was into cybersecurity.
