Delta CP Decorates 457 Newly Promoted Corporals, Urges Professionalism and Dedication

The Commissioner of Police, Delta State Command, Yemi Oyeniyi, has decorated 457 officers recently promoted from the rank of Police Constable to Corporal, charging them to uphold professionalism, discipline, and dedicated service in the discharge of their duties.

The decoration ceremony, held at the Delta State Police Command Headquarters in Asaba, attracted members of the Command Management Team and other senior officers who witnessed the official elevation of the personnel.

Addressing the newly promoted officers, CP Oyeniyi congratulated them on their well-deserved advancement, describing the promotion as recognition of their commitment, loyalty, discipline, and outstanding service to the Nigeria Police Force.

He noted that promotion represents a significant milestone in the career of every officer and reflects the confidence reposed in them by the leadership of the Force.

According to the Commissioner, the new rank comes with greater responsibilities and expectations, urging the officers to remain steadfast, dedicated, and committed to duty while maintaining the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and discipline.

The CP further encouraged the newly promoted Corporals to align themselves with the vision of the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, by respecting the rights of citizens, strengthening community policing efforts, and sustaining public trust and confidence in the Force.

He reaffirmed the Command's commitment to personnel welfare, capacity building, and merit-based career progression, stressing that hard work, exemplary conduct, and dedication remain key requirements for advancement within the Nigeria Police Force.

The decoration ceremony marked another milestone in the Command's efforts to motivate personnel and enhance effective policing through recognition of outstanding service and career development.
