…As IGP warns Nigerians against picking I-pad, Laptop, phones not kept by them
The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Solomon Arase has said that after careful and discreet investigations into the recent bombings that took place in Kuje and Nyanya areas of Abuja, the Police is set to arraign the allege masterminds of the dastardly acts before the Federal High Court, Abuja today for prosecution.
This is even as IGP warned Nigerians to avoid the temptation of picking 1-pad, phones or laptops not kept by them, saying that terrorists now use such items in the manufacture of bombs, knowing its attractions and needs to the people.
He said the prosecution of the five suspects followed the completion of the arraignment process after their arrest and further investigation after the October 2, 2015 twin bombings which killed scores of people and injured several others.
The IGP said the five suspects were arrested at Karamajiji village, behind the National Military Cemetery along Airport Road, Abuja, adding that other dangerous bombing tools which include I-pad, Laptop and Phone believed to be used as materials for making bombs were recovered from the suspects.
He explained that the arrest of the suspects was made possible by the proactive nature of the newly formed Intelligence Response Team of the police.
