Two Lesbians Sentenced To 14 Years In Prison According To Nigerian Anti-Gay Law

The police in Ogidi Anambra state have arrested two young ladies identified as Chioma from Umudioka in Dunukofia council area, of the state and one Amaka for allegedly engaging in lesbianism.

The suspects, according to a police source, were caught while indulging in the unholy act in a beer parlour belonging to one of them.

Reliably gathered that members of the homosexuality and lesbianism family in the state have started mobilising lawyers to make sure that the two ladies and their other members currently in police net are not sent to jail.


Nigerian Ex-Governor ‘Gabriel Suswam’ To Be Jailed In UK

After his arrest, the Metropolitan Police Domestic Violence Office initially held him at its London detention center. He was later released on £5,000 bail.

According to nigeriancurrent.com, Suswam’s wife Yemisi placed an emergency call to the police from their luxury London home to report that the embattled governor had physically assaulted her.

Mozambique decriminalises gay and lesbian relationships

Mozambique has decriminalised homosexuality in its new penal code, making it one of a few African countries where same-sex relationships are legal.

The revised code, in force from Wednesday, drops a colonial-era clause outlawing "vices against nature".
There were no prosecutions under that clause but rights activists have said this change is a symbolic victory.

Femi Fani-Kayode discharged


According to Punch , the  Federal High Court in Lagos has on Wednesday, dismissed the money laundering charges leveled against a former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, by the EFCC .
The trial judge, Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia, in a judgment freed Fani-Kayode after holding that “the prosecution case is feeble” and had failed to prove the allegations against the accused person beyond reasonable doubt.
