In a bid to reclaim the Oba -ship title from Beku and Shodeke families, who are the tenants of Oro-otan Onimaba family of Igando, the original Title bearer of Onimaba, the people took a giant stride by selecting through Ifa Oracles, Oba Lasisi Gbadamosi from the family of Oro-Otan Onimaba as the Oba of Igando and was installed on August 3 RD , 1978.
The village was included in 1890, a list of subsidized colony Chiefs and described by title of “OBA.
