Lagos Club Robbery: One Arrested in Abule Egba Lounge Attack

 Operatives of the Lagos State Police Command have arrested one suspected member of the armed robbery gang that attacked customers at Ghost and Spirits Lounge on Ekoro Road, Abule Egba, last Saturday.

The suspect, identified in a viral picture wearing a green shirt and cap, was tracked and arrested following credible intelligence. Police confirm he is in custody and assisting with investigation, while other members of the gang are still on the run.

How the Abule Egba Lounge Robbery Happened

The robbery occurred at about 4:00 am on Saturday at Ghost and Spirits Lounge, Ekoro Road.

According to eyewitness video, customers were relaxing outside the lounge, some sitting on the bonnet of a car and inside the open boot of another vehicle, when the gang struck.

The suspect in the green shirt and cap was seen standing beside the customers, posing as a customer. Moments later, the gang's operational vehicle appeared across the road. One robber reportedly fired a gunshot to announce their presence.

The suspect by the car then attacked a victim, forcefully removing his wristwatch, while other customers fled. The gang dispossessed victims of valuables before escaping in their vehicle.

Police Arrest and N5 Million Bounty

Sources revealed the arrest came after the management of Ghost and Spirits Lounge placed a N5 million bounty on the robbers.

The suspect in the green shirt was apprehended through intense tracking, police sources said.

Police Statement

A police source confirmed the development:

"We have one suspect in custody, and he is assisting us with useful information. We are trailing the others. The command will not rest until all the perpetrators are brought to book."

The Lagos State Police Command says a full manhunt has been launched for the fleeing gang members.
