As part of his bail conditions, Kanu was barred from being in a crowd of more than 10 people, and granting interviews, among others.
The Movement for the Actualisation of a Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has threatened to cause violence if Nnnamdi Kanu is arrested.
Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), had earlier told newsmen that he will be happy if he is re-arrested, adding that it will hasten the actualisation of Biafra.
According to reports, the Federal Government is reportedly noting the alleged breach of bail conditions by Kanu, and may ask the Federal High Court in Abuja to put him back in prison.
On April 25, 2017, Justice Binta Nyako granted the IPOB leader bail to the tune of N300 million.
Kanu was also barred from being in a crowd of more than 10 people, and granting interviews, among others.
The IPOB leader however dismissed the bail conditions, saying he does not care what happens.
According to Daily Post, MASSOB’s leader, Uchenna Madu said that his members will collapse Nigeria if Kanu is arrested.
“MASSOB warns that any attempts or plan to re arrest Mazi Nnamdi Kanu will be thoroughly and massively resisted. We can never tolerate it. It is an insult and embarrassment to our inalienable Rights. We shall collapse Nigeria if he is arrested.
“Now that we know that our consistency and exposure of the hidden truths is dangerously frustrating, disorganising and killing their age long agendas against the people of Biafra, we shall never relent or surrender.”
The Arewa Youth Assembly (AYA) organised a protest in Abuja on Wednesday, August 9, 2017, demanding for Nnamdi Kanu’s arrest.
