Four KWASU students allegedly beat colleague to death for filming them

Four yet-to-be-identified students of the Kwara State University, KWASU, Malete, in Moro local government area of the state, have been arrested by the police for allegedly beating a fellow student to death


Reports have it that the incident which happened in one of the private hostels outside the university premises, where the students descended on the deceased student, for allegedly filming the four students who were reportedly in a discussion without their consent.


The victim was said to be spotted by one of the students which consequently approached him to know why he was filming them without their consent, to which he could not offer any ‘reasonable explanation’. Afterwards, the four enraged students pounced on him for his action.


Confirming the incident to newsmen, the State Police Public Relations officer, Toun Ejire-Adeyemi (DSP), said that the alleged culprits were four, adding that they have been arrested while an investigation is still ongoing over the matter.

Punch reports that the duo had an altercation on Friday, December 22 in an estate along the NTA/Apara link road in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, and this led to him beating her up. In an attempt to defend herself, the girlfriend stabbed Tony in the neck.
