The passing of Rotimi Akeredolu is a sad one for the Yoruba nation. He was a detribalised Yoruba son devoid of excesses the exponents of Yoruba ronu politicians who thrive on ethnicity.
He was a true defender of the Yoruba nation who exhibited extraordinary courage when others like Bola Ahmed Tinubu hide under guise of political convenience at the height of the herdsmen menace, in contrast, Akeredolu rallied other Yoruba Governors to form the Amootekun security outfit. Besides forming the Amootekun Corps, and he gave the Corps a legal backing. A true Yoruba son is gone and he will be missed. Rest in peace our dear Aketti, omo Akin ile Yoruba.
