WAR IN UKRAINE: A Slip Of The Tongue From Biden Reveals His Intention To Send Troops To Ukraine-

US President Joe Biden made a new mistake while making statements about Ukraine, forcing the White House to correct his words.

Addressing the soldiers, he added: ” You will see when you are there, and some of you were there, women and young men standing in the middle of (the road) and in front of the cursed tank, saying we will not leave (. . . )” .

It was understood from the phrase ” when you will be there” that troops would be deployed in Ukraine.

What added to the view of some that Washington decided to send troops to Ukraine was that Biden was speaking in front of the 82nd Airborne Division.

But the US administration later confirmed that there was no change in the Biden administration’ s position.

” The president has made clear that we will not be sending American forces to Ukraine, and there is no change in that position, ” a White House spokesperson told Fox News.

This was the position of the US president, even months before the outbreak of war in Ukraine on February 24.

By March 17, the number of US forces in Europe had risen to 100, 000, up from 80, 000 in January.

In light of the war, the Biden administration is considering increasing the number of US forces in Europe further to counter the Russian threat, but there has been no talk of sending troops to Ukraine.

Russian Deputy Calls For ” De- nazification” Of 6 Neighboring Countries

A deputy in the Russian State Duma suggested eliminating ” Nazis” from 6 countries neighbouring Russia, specifying that the countries are Kazakhstan, Moldova, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia.

At the same time, the Russian Security Council stressed that negotiations are the best way to resolve the Ukraine crisis, describing sanctions as a ” war without rules. ”

Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev described relations between Russia and Western countries as worse than during the Cold War.

Medvedev added that the West is seeking to wage an economic war against Russia without rules.

He also described Western accusations of Russian leaders that they are working to flood the country as baseless slanders.

On Friday, the Russian National Security Council said it was wrong to expect Western sanctions to affect the Russian government. Medvedev described the West’ s attempts to influence Moscow through sanctions as ” folly” .

Medvedev said that the West is trying to turn the people against the authorities, but the pressures unite the Russians.

” Let us ask ourselves: can any of these business leaders have even the slightest influence on the position of the country’ s leadership? . . . I tell you frankly: no, it is impossible, ” Medvedev said.

Medvedev said that opinion polls showed that three- quarters of Russians supported the Kremlin’ s decision to carry out a military operation in Ukraine and even supported President Vladimir Putin. Medvedev criticized the Russians, who objected to the invasion while living abroad.

” You can be dissatisfied with some of the authorities’ decisions and criticize the authorities, ” he said. ” This is normal. But you cannot take a stand against the state in such a difficult situation because this is treason. ”

The drawing, which was published by the Russian Embassy on its Twitter account, shows a sick body lying on an operating table with the words ” Europe” written on it, and above it, two doctors wearing hats bearing the flags of the United States and the European Union, and their names are ” Empire of Lies” and ” European Reich” , and they give the patient our right A malicious letter written on it was ” Russian hatred” , ” sanctions” , ” neo- Naziism” , ” Covid- 19″ , ” NATO” and ” abolition culture” .

Macron, during a press conference after the European Union summit in Brussels, criticized the Russian embassy’ s publication of this drawing, stressing that this step was unacceptable.

He pointed out that the French Foreign Ministry informed the Russian ambassador of Paris’ s dissatisfaction with the cartoon, adding: ” This mistake has been fixed and I hope it will not be repeated. ”

Wasn’ t it the French presidents and foreign ministry who were teaching us that any caricatures are normal, even the terrible Charlie Hebdo ones? She added that the Russian forces are reluctant to engage in large- scale ground operations in urban areas, preferring to rely on what it described as the indiscriminate use of aerial and artillery bombardment in an effort to ” break the morale” of the Ukrainian forces.

Moscow signalled Friday that it had scaled back its ambitions in Ukraine, focusing on territory claimed by Russian- backed separatists, as Ukrainian forces continued their offensive to retake towns on the outskirts of the capital, Kyiv.

In the latest developments, the head of Ukrainian military intelligence, General Kirillo Budanov, said that the Russians would live ” a real hell” in Ukraine, stressing that the ” medieval” Russian army would face an ongoing guerrilla war on the part of the Ukrainians.

” The Russian leadership has made a lot of mistakes, and we are using these mistakes, ” General Budanov, speaking in Ukrainian from Kyiv, told The Nation.

The 36- year- old general, who joined the army after the fall of the Soviet Union and was trained in NATO tactics, added: ” The Ukrainian army showed that the Russian army, the second army in the world, was nothing but a legend. It is based on an era- style concentration of power. Central and on old fighting methods, ” as he put it.

” We have many informants within the Russian army, not only in its ranks but also in its political circle and within its leadership, ” he stressed during the interview.

For a month since the start of the military operation in Ukraine, the Russians faced stiff resistance from the forces of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and stopped at the gates of Kyiv.

The military operation has so far displaced about a quarter of Ukraine’ s 44 million people from their homes. More than 3. 7 million of them fled abroad, half of them to Poland, which US President Joe Biden visited on Friday.

The World Health Organization has reported 70 attacks on hospitals and ambulance crews since the start of the war in Ukraine.

Battle lines near Kyiv have been frozen for weeks, with two large columns of Russian armour stuck to the northwest and east of the capital. A British intelligence report spoke of a Ukrainian counterattack that pushed the Russians back in the east.

Scenes Of Destruction From Kyiv

The report noted that ” Ukrainian counter- attacks and the retreat of Russian forces from exhausted supply lines allowed Ukraine to re- establish control over towns and defensive positions as far as 35 km east of Kyiv. ” Britain provided Ukraine with weapons and military training.

In an announcement that appeared to suggest targets were scaled back, the Russian Defense Ministry said the first stage of its operation was almost complete and that it would now focus on ” liberating” the breakaway eastern Donbas region.

” The combat capabilities of the Ukrainian armed forces have been significantly reduced, which makes it possible to focus our main efforts on achieving the main goal, which is the liberation of Donbas, ” said Sergei Rudskoy, head of the Main Operations Department of the Russian General Staff.

The United Nations said it has confirmed 1, 081 civilians killed and 1, 707 wounded in Ukraine since the war began, adding that the true toll is likely higher.

The Interfax news agency, citing the Russian Defense Ministry, reported that 1, 351 Russian soldiers were killed and 3, 825 wounded. Ukraine puts the death toll of Russian soldiers at 15, 000.

The Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed its commitment to the standards of international humanitarian law in the treatment of Ukrainian prisoners, and that it allows them to contact their families and provides them with health care and three meals a day.

Mizintsev stressed not to exercise any violence or psychological pressure on the Ukrainian prisoners, stressing that they were given the opportunity to communicate with their families.

He stressed that Russia is cooperating with the International Committee of the Red Cross in this matter.

Mizintsev accused Kyiv of blatantly violating the most basic humanitarian standards and the requirements of the Third Geneva Convention in its dealings with Russian prisoners.
