Ronaldo Left The Pitch Angry After The Final Whistle & Why His Teammates Need To Learn That Attitude

Manchester United opened the weekend's Premier League action with a game against Everton in what was perceived as a very entertaining game. Everton who share the same points with Manchester United were without several top players and Rafael Benitez was lauded by the commentators for managing the team well despite such absentees.

Manchester United also started the game without Ronaldo and Pogba who have been very instrumental to the club's victories with Ronaldo and Pogba bringing in several goals and assists respectively.

Manchester United's first goal came from Martial courtesy of a pass by Bruno Fernandes but they couldn't hold unto the lead as Townsend equalized in the 65th minute. That goal came in barely eight minutes after Ronaldo and Pogba were introduced to the game.

Despite bringing on those two players, Man Utd couldn't add to their lone goal and they were saved by the VAR after Mina's goal was ruled offside

After the final whistle, Ronaldo didn't waste much time on the pitch as he left straight to the dressing room. Whilst walking, cameras picked the movements of his lips and he could be seen talking to himself probably in an angry manner as he was furious with the result.

Andy Townsend who scored Everton's goal tried talking to him in the name of sportsmanship but Ronaldo wasn't having any of it as he walked through the dugouts to the dressing room.

Ronaldo is a world-class player and has been having a fine run of form at Manchester United and his attitude shows how hungrier he is for more successes. Some might argue that it was just a draw and he shouldn't have been angry but a world-class player knows that it's a game like this that make the difference between winning and losing the league.

Even former teammates, Ferdinand and Tottenham's former player, Jenas who were pundits on BT Sport referred to the fact that he is a winner and knows what damage points like these could make at the end of the season.

He is the biggest player in the club and has numerous trophies to his name which would have prompted such reactions; when a player is used to winning at the big stages, they tend to know how games in the earlier part of the season shape teams for games at the latter part of the season.

Man Utd players will need to learn such attitude and channel it to the little details involved in winning leagues. The last time the club won the league was in the 2012-2013 season and none of the current set of players was there to witness the victory.

Even though Ronaldo himself wasn't in the club in 2013, he had previous successes with them and knows what it feels like to lift the ultimate trophy with the club.

If Manchester United want to stand a chance at winning the league especially in times where there are other top contenders like Manchester City, Chelsea and Liverpool, the players will have to learn from Ronaldo's attitude towards winning.
