Saraki made this known at a world press conference, he organized at the lobby of the National Assembly.
He emphasized, that he was elected by the majority of members and constitutionally, only two-thirds of total members can impeach him, and not members of a certain political party.
Saraki condemned the action of officials of the Department of State Services, who barricaded the entrances of the National Assembly complex, describing it as an assault on the nation’s parliament.

The Senate President reiterated an earlier warning where he said there was a government within a government allegedly working against the will of the people.
