Illegal roadside parking impedes the flow of traffic as well as traffic safety, causing serious traffic congestion, traffic accidents and general traffic pollution, which is a major social problem.

While speaking on tolling of cars, OYRTMA boss stated specifically that that the owners of cars are asked to pay token of amount to serve as caution to them against repeating such offences, adding that government does not empower the organization to collect ransom from them.

He added that as part of security measures when cars are being tolled, tyres would be deflated, stressing that car owners have the leverage of 24 hours to 48 hours leverage or they pay a particular amount called demurrage.
