The Rivers State Police command has convened a meeting of herdsmen, farmers, community leaders and other stakeholders to canvass peaceful coexistence in the various communities.
At the town hall meeting, the Commissioner of Police, Musa Kimo, said that this had become imperative because of the critical security challenges in the state and the country.
Various speakers stressed the need to ensure a regulated approach to the activities of herdsmen and their relationship with communities.
The Police boss advocated the need to maintain peace in the communities and find a lasting solution to the crisis.
