Buhari declares 270 cattle, mud houses, N30m, others • Osinbajo worth $900,000, N94m

President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo yesterday made public details of their assets, which had been declared to the Code of Conduct Bureau.

According a statement by the President’s Senior Special Assistant, Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, the President has about N30m in his only bank account with the Union Bank Plc, while the Vice President has a balance of N94m, $900,000 and 19,000 pounds in his bank accounts.

English Premier League sharttered transfer


The records were shattered in the English Premier League as the summer transfer window was the richest in Premier League history. The total spending for the calendar year reached £1bn for the first time. Summer outlay passed £870m, 4% up on the record set last year. Dasuki faces illegal arms charge

The Federal Government today arraign a former National Security Adviser, Colonel Sambo Dasuki (retd.), on only one- count of illegal possession of firearms before a Federal High Court in Abuja, for allegedly being in possession of firearms without license.

According to punch, Report said that the former NSA, who was scheduled to appear before Justice Adeniyi Ademola, had last week filed his bail application in anticipation that the court will hear it immediately after taking his plea on Tuesday (today).

Background
Chief Fernandez was born in Lagos southwestern Nigeria into the Fernandez family that originated from [[Cuba l]] and the first European migrant to Lagos State. He has been in diplomacy since 1996. In 1982, he served as advisor to the Angolan Government on Economic matter. He held this position for two years until his appointment as Deputy Permanent Representative of Mozambique to the United Nations in 1984. He runs an oil company called Petro Inett which obtained a 50% share with South African-based Energy Africa Limited in a deal with the state oil company for exploration rights in a 4,700 km2 area of Angola's coast in 1996. In 1992, he was appointed as Special Adviser to the President of Mozambique on International Economic Matters, a position he held for three years.
