This is to inform the authorities and public of the kidnap of a brain surgeon at Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi, Anambra state,
His name is Dr. Mbanugo Tochukwu.
He was kidnapped few days ago in front of his house on the 30th of October 2025. Nobody has heard anything from him so far yet.
The report is that Dr. Mbanugo spent nearly the whole day in the theatre operating on patients which included removing a really complex brain tumour that took him hours to accomplish.
He finished surgery around 8 pm and headed home, but was unfortunately kidnapped in front of his house by unidentified armed men.
This is really a saddening situation.
As a brain surgeon in Nigeria, we barely have 250 of them, which means about 1 brain surgeon for 1 million Nigerians.
Please help raise awareness and inform all the relevant authorities. Let us help find and save the life of Dr Tochukwu
