I Cannot Say The Things Naira Marley Says In His Songs -Wizkid

Nigerian singer Wizkid has listed Naira Marley as one of his favourite musicians he listens to and loves every bit of the lyrics he uses in his songs.

He was engaged in a recent interview with Beat FM where he spoke at length about the thought process and energy that went into the making of the album and the amount of time it took before the record was completed. He was quizzed about the kind of musicians he listens to and the kind of music he prefers.

He said: “On my playlist? I listen to everybody. There are so many Naira Marley songs I wish I sang but I can’t say the things he says. “There are people you don’t think I listen to that I do. Because you, as a musician, you’d be stupid not to pay attention to words around you, especially the young. There are so many Naira Marley songs I wish I sang. “But I can’t say the things he says, although they’re things I think about in my head. That’s why I love him.” he added.
