Buhari not involved in ex pension boss’ re-instatement

Abdulrasheed Maina
An aide to President Muhammadu Buhari has come out to state that his principal wasn't involved in the reinstatement of Abdulrasheed Maina.

Presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina has said that he is not aware if President Buhari was involved in the re-instatement of Abdulrasheed Maina.

Adesina also called on those whose names were mentioned in the issue to clear the air on the President’s involvement.
Speaking on the memo which was reportedly written by the Head of Civil Service of the federation, Winifred Oyo-Ita, the presidential spokesman said that she has not openly admitted that she wrote the memo.
According to Daily Post, Adesina also said “The head of service to the best of my knowledge has not come out to own that memo allegedly published and credited to her. Until she owns it and say this memo is from me, then I can comment on it.”
“It is those who did the reinstatement who can answer that question, not me. Those involved and those mentioned- federal civil service, head of service, and attorney general of the federation. I think you should rather pose that question to them,” he added.
