Akeredolu freezes Local government account

The Ondo State Governor, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu, has frozen accounts of the 18 local government councils in the state, just as he ordered the removal of political appointees from the payment voucher.

Nigerian Tribune gathered that the directive was contained in a circular sent to all the 18 local government areas within the state.

Jonathan rejected UK offer to rescue Chibok girls, says Guardian of London

LAGOS—BUT for lack of response from immediate past President Goodluck Jonathan, the British Armed Forces, would have helped to rescue the 276 Chibok schoolgirls abducted by Boko Haram insurgents in Borno State on April 14, 2014, the United Kingdom’s Guardian, has claimed, quoting the Observer. According to the newspaper, in a mission named ‘Operation Turus,’ the RAF conducted air reconnaissance over northern Nigeria for several months, following the kidnapping of 276 girls from the town of Chibok in April 2014.
