Nigeria’s main relief agency on Monday warned of high casualties a day after after multiple explosions blamed on Islamist militants Boko Haram hit the restive northeastern city of Maiduguri.

No Muslim should be US president: Carson
Republican presidential hopeful Ben Carson said Sunday no Muslim should be president of the United States, adding a new twist to a controversy roiling the party’s White House nominating race.
In an interview with NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Carson, a retired brain surgeon who often refers to his own deep Christian faith, was asked whether a president’s religion should matter.
“I guess it depends on what that faith is. If it’s inconsistent with the values and principles of America, then of course it should matter. But if it fits within the realm of America and consistent with the constitution, no problem,” he said.

President Buhari says ''no'' to Naira devaluation

The President cautioned that “I don’t think it is healthy for us to have the Naira further devalued”.

Leave President Buhari out of Saraki's trial - Presidency
The Presidency has said that the ongoing trial of the President of the Senate, Senator Bukola Saraki, by the Code of Conduct Tribunal was purely judicial and constitutional issue.
A statement in Abuja by the Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, described the attempt to link the Presidency to the Saraki’s trial as unacceptable.
