Road Closures Announced for APC Convention in Abuja

The Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation has announced that all access roads leading to and around the Federal Secretariat Complex in Abuja will be closed from Friday, March 27 to Saturday, March 28, 2026, due to the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Convention at Eagle Square.

Affected Areas and Work Arrangements

- Civil servants with offices in Phases I, II, and III of the Federal Secretariat Complex, as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, are directed to work from home on Friday, March 27.

- The closure affects Ministries, Extra-Ministerial Departments, Agencies, and Offices within the Federal Secretariat.

Reason for Closure

The road closure is necessary because Eagle Square, the venue for the APC convention, is located adjacent to the Federal Secretariat Complex.

Official Directive

The circular, signed by Dr. Abdul S. U. Garba, Permanent Secretary, Service Welfare Office, urges Permanent Secretaries and heads of agencies to notify their staff and ensure strict compliance with the directive.
