SHIITES MEMBERS DEMAND RELEASE OF ITS LEADER EL-ZAKZAKY

 IBRAHIM EL-ZAKZAKY,

Members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria otherwise known as Shiites returned to the streets of Abuja demanding the release of their leader, Sheikh IBRAHIM EL-ZAKZAKY.


IBRAHIM EL-ZAKZAKY and his wife ZEENAH have been in DSS custody since December 2015 after a bloody clash with the military.

Members of the group who embarked on a peaceful protest said the health of their leader had continued to degenerate and require urgent medical attention.

MUSA MOHAMMED later addressed journalists on behalf of the group.
