Chelsea have reportedly agreed a deal to sign former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba from Juventus.
Roman Abramovich’s Blues have made Juve an offer they could not refuse, according to The Sun.
It is claimed by The Sun that a £69m price has been settled on, although that figure could include the value of one or more Chelsea players in a part-exchange deal.
Attacking midfielders Oscar, William and Juan Cuadrado have all been touted as men who could head to Turin as part of a high-profile swap move.
However, if Chelsea and Juventus end up settling on a straight cash transaction, the £69m figure will see the British transfer record smashed.
The biggest fee paid by a British club to date is around £30m.
Both Andrei Shevchenko – when he joined Chelsea from AC Milan in 2006 – and Rio Ferdinand – when he swapped Leeds United for Man United in 2002 – went for fees close to £30m.
